Our plans for the future

We need your input – please complete our survey!

We want people in Lambeth to have a fully integrated and co-ordinated mental health system that is focused on people’s strengths and supports their whole health and wellbeing. We want to build on our successes so far and create the Living Well Network Alliance. We have engaged with a wide range of representatives from across the community since the Collaborative started (health and social care staff, voluntary and community sector staff, service users and carers) and have created Our Plans for the Future which sets out how we think the system should change and develop in the coming years.

However, we need continued involvement from people across the community to help shape and develop the proposal. Your feedback, comments and ideas are vital to ensure that it addresses the key issues within the system and ultimately achieves the best outcomes for people. This will not be the only opportunity to give us your views, but your views will help shape the future of mental health support in the borough.

It would be fantastic if you could read Our Plans for the Future and give us some feedback by completing our online survey.  The survey will be open until the end of March 2017.

Living Well Network Alliance

Since June 2010 we have been working collaboratively with service users, carers and a wide range of mental health service providers in the borough in order to improve services for people experiencing mental health issues through the Collaborative. We are known for co-production and focusing on people’s strengths. We have seen encouraging progress in pursuing this vision to date including the Living Well Network hub and the Integrated Personalised Support Alliance (IPSA). Even though we have made progress there are still challenges within mental health services that we want to improve.

NHS Lambeth CCG and Lambeth Council commissioners began to consider next steps for development, and want to build on the success of the Integrated Personalised Support Alliance which is managed under a new contracting model, an Alliance Contract. An alliance contract aligns providers on outcomes and providers are collectively accountable for delivering the outcomes. Commissioners are proposing to bring together providers who provide mental health support under a single 10 year alliance contract that will include:

  • Mental health information and advice provision
  • Adult mental health secondary care services provided in Lambeth, including all inpatient and community care
  • Improving Access to Psychological Therapies
  • LWN Hub service
  • Enhanced primary care offer (GP Plus)
  • Supported housing services and domiciliary care
  • Supported employment services
  • Mental health social work
  • Mental health rehabilitation services (IPSA)
  • Early discharge services
  • Crisis support
  • Peer support

Please read Our Plans for the Future to find out more about the proposed Living Well Network Alliance and provide us with your feedback by completing our online survey.
