Tuesday March 16 marks Young Carers Action Day, an annual event organised by the Carers Trust to raise awareness of young carers and the incredible contribution they make to their families and local communities.

This year #YoungCarersActionDay is about Protecting Young Carers’ Futures and making sure that all young and young adult carers get the support they need to go after their dreams.

At Carers’ Hub Lambeth, the Young Carers team have been speaking to our young and young adult carers about their future and the incredible skills they have developed through being a carer – like resilience, time-management and empathy. In order to mark the day we’ll be meeting with our young and young adult carers and showcasing what they’ve been telling us about their skills and wishes for the future.
