Tuesday 10 October was World Mental Health day. This year’s theme was mental health as a universal human right and Healthwatch Lambeth will be holding a special event next Wednesday 18 October to discuss this . You can sign up from the flyer posted.
The theme is set each year by the World Federation of Mental Health, which highlights its 75th anniversary is this year’s campaign .
The day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health. Many people wear a green ribbon in support and it’s also a chance to talk about mental health and how we need to look after it, and how important it is to get help if you are struggling.
This year the Samaritans say it’s ok to log off if you find days like this too much. ‘Sometimes the content shared on days like this can be overwhelming or difficult to read. It’s OK to feel this way. It’s OK to not post anything. It’s OK to log off. Do what’s right for you. We’re here if you need us, call 116 123’
